Is it really FREE?

Yes, you don't have to pay for my time and work. I will come to your house or any other location we agree upon. It could be a birthday party in a park, family picnic on a beach, soccer game, ballet rehearsal, family reunion or any other event. If you are a starting model and want to build a portfolio, or just want some portraits of your family I can accommodate it as well. I will travel up to 40 miles from San Jose, CA and will spend up to 4 hours on the spot taking hundreds of pictures for you to choose from. I will enhance and retouch to a certain point the best pictures, which can either be given to you on CD or uploaded to a website like http://www.snapfish.com or http://www.ofoto.com (I am not affiliated with these websites in any way, I just use their services). You can then print any images you like in any size you want directly from them. You will have to pay my entrance fee to your event (if there is any). If you want me to do more extensive retouching or artistic stylization to some images, it will cost you about $10 - $30 dollars per image. It can be done for selected images at any point later on. Keep in mind I only provide digital images for free. You print them at your own expense.

How is it possible?

We all know there is no free lunch, so what's the catch here? I specialize in stock photography, which means I create images that can be sold many times through several websites, which act like photo banks. They store hundreds of thousand of images, which can be bought by anybody who needs them. It could be web designers, publishers, small business owners making catalogs, magazines, brochures, calendars, etc. All these websites have slightly different policies on how the images can be used, but none of them allow images to be used in any negative context. None of your personal information including your name can be revealed to a buyer. If the buyer wants to have more of your pictures, he/she can only contact me as a photographer to arrange another photo session, for which (if you are agree) you will get paid. You can see some usage examples here. It's actually fun to see a familiar face in otherwise boring health insurance booklet. All I want from you instead of payment for my work is a signed model release form I'd appreciate if you printed the form and filled it out prior to your photo session for each person to be photographed.
